Event Description

Dark Sky Festival – Aug 12-14, 2016

Where better to experience meteor showers than in the middle of nowhere? This year spend 3 days reconnecting to nature with family and friends, new and old. Share your days hiking on our interpretive trail, mountain biking on miles of dirt roads, snacking at our Trail Mix Bar and making nature crafts with the kids. Enjoy live music from Noon until 11pm daily from musicians from all over the Western US. Late nights will be spent at the Dark Sky Festival Observation Area. The Perseid Meteor showers are best experienced after Midnight. Big telescopes will be available to see the stars up close.

Join us for a celebration of dark skies and epic views of the Perseid meteor showers. Big telescopes from Rose City Astronomers. 15 bands performing live music! Local favorites like Eight Dollar Mountain, Intuitive Compass, Hollis Peach and Jive Coulis and Humboldt natives Absynth Quartet. Performers from Eugene, Portland, Washington and Montana will come together for this special event. Yummy local food, beer, cider and konbucha on tap. Great family festival!

This festival is off-grid, and tent camping only. The purchase of your ticket includes camping and parking for the 3 day event. We ask that you pack out your trash, and recycling and trash bags will be included in your arrival packet.

This small family festival will sell out, so get you tickets now on the the Dark Sky page.
