January – New Year, New ART.

Making Exciting Paintings that go beyond your photos
Texture, Form, Composition, Values & Color
Thursday/Friday – January 3rd/4th

Finding a good reference to paint from is such an important first step. An image that grabs us will have a much better chance at becoming a solid painting. If we start with a dynamic composition, We have a lot more room to explore. By simplifying the elements and grouping the subjects into large value or color masses, our images can become even stronger. Photographs can be fantastic tools to work from but they have their limitations. I want to move beyond those limitations.
Let’s try some new approaches.
