Event Description

Klamath Comic-Con

Klamath Comic-Con will be at the Main Library on Saturday, October 22nd.

Be a part of the con!

Sign up now to have a vendor booth at the con! New for 2016, we’re adding the option of outdoor booth space!

The fine print: vendor applications are due to the South Suburban Branch by Monday, October 3rd. Submission of an application does not guarantee a space at the event. Vendors/Exhibitors will be notified of space availability no later than Thursday, October 7th.

Help make this year’s con the best yet! Download the volunteer application here.

The fine print: Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. Applications are due Thursday, October 7th.

Show us your art!

We’re accepting entries into the 2016 Comic Con Art Contest starting Monday, September 19th! Download the art contest entry form here. Submit your art and entry form to the Youth Services desk at the downtown Klamath County Library.

New for 2016, we’re judging art in three categories: traditional media, digital media, and sculpture! This contest is open to all ages!

The fine print: All art must be submitted with an entry form. All entries are due by Friday, October 14th. No explicit or gory art will be accepted! No pieces larger than 24 by 36 inches, please.

Age categories will be determined based on the number of entries. First, second, and third prizes will be awarded for each category.

Contest winners will be announced during the Comic-Con on Saturday, October 22nd. You do not have to be present to collect your prize. Winners will be notified by phone, and prizes will be held at the downtown library for pickup until Saturday, November 19th. After the Comic-Con, all works of art can be picked up by the artist at the downtown Klamath County Library during open hours until Saturday, November 19th. Any art remaining after that date will be discarded.

Got a cool costume?

Entering the Comic-Con Costume Contest is as easy as posing for a photograph! (Well, and filling out a small card with your name, contact information and a brief description of who you’re dressed up as, but it’s mostly posing for a photo.) Visit the photobooth during the Comic Con at any time between 10 am to 1:30 pm to get your entry in!

We’ll be judging costumes in six categories: Ages 0-4; Ages 5-12; Ages 13-17; Ages 17 and up; Best Villain and Best Group/Duo. (Please note that you can only enter your costume in one of these categories.)

You don’t have to be present for the whole convention to win; winners will be contacted the week after the con.

The fine print: Please make sure your costume is appropriate for all ages, and please do not wear anything overly gory or risqué. Any person wearing a costume deemed inappropriate by staff may be asked to leave. Weapons associated with a costume must be peace-bonded at the door (we’ll put a colored zip-tie on your prop either to secure it in its holster/sheath or to otherwise display that it’s safe). Click here for a full list of costume weapon rules. We’ll hold prizes for pickup until Saturday, November 19th.
