Tap Dance Workshop and Master Class

This is a two hour workshop will be free to SOU students and staff/faculty, and $15 for the general public, with registration preferred to SOU population. All levels are welcome, with general technique taught in the first half, and more challenging dancing in the second hour.

$10 for general public. FREE to SOU students faculty and staff with appropriate ID. Tickets are only available at door one hour prior to performance.
This tap dance and tap history presentation features visiting guest artist and Master Tap Teacher, Denise Scheerer, and includes SOU dance instructor Suzanne Seiber, jazz music by a trio of beloved local musicians: Paul Jenny, guitar and horn, David Miller, bass, and John Mazzei, piano, and additional tap dancers including SOU graduate Holly Nienhaus.
Pianist John Mazzie’s compositions have been featured on television series and in films; David Miller teaches bass at SOU and plays throughout the Rogue Valley, including the Rogue Valley Symphony; Paul Jenny has been at Oregon Cabaret Theatre and OSF, both as performer and musical director, and was a founding member of the group PJQ.
